[BUG] Crash during loading the Fortress of the shield outer area

Hello,

Currently, I am running the last steam version (1.3.53 - Public) of the game without mods and it crashes while loading the outer area of the Fortress of the shield map.

The last mission I completed is the "Family Reckoning" quest and I am trying to complete the side missions before I move on to the main missions. Thus, I am trying to complete "Runs in the family" and "Shadow of the defiler" quests both located in the ruins outside the fortress of the shield map. I already completed the "Gem quest: The monastery" but I didn't subsequently complete the "Shadow of the defiler" so this could be a reason for it not to load properly. So far, I tried coming from the badlands greater map to the ruins outside and using the major gate, and going to the outside from inside. Both approaches have failed. Also, I validated the steam file integrity, no luck there. The earliest saves are from today (after the patch), during the quest "Family Reckoning". Maybe the newest patch causes the problem with that specific area, maybe not because I didn't go back there in an earlier patch.

I'm also experiencing this after the update as well. Unfortunately, only last save is in the overworld traveling to the fortress of the shield so I cant stop it from reaching it and crashing.

I am having the same issue since the patch 1.3.53.

Maybe this can help :

Same problem, seems like I could go elsewhere in the game but that's where I have naturally made it to and would like to do the defiler quest. Guess I'll wait a few days and hope for a hotfix?

Adding my name to the list.

Coming back from the "Lost God" side quest and about 15 seconds into loading this area the game crashes with a note/URL to verify my game files. I've done so twice and they're fine. Nothing is found and nothing is re-downloaded as far as I can tell.

So this party is DOA until this is resolved.

I've also just sent in my saved game file to their e-mail on record with Steam. Happy to help in any way I can to resolve this issue.

I also cannot enter the grounds of the Fortress of the Shield.  I have completed all the associated quests -- I just find it a useful jump-off for the Volcano and Valley of Fire.  So I don't think it is a quest issue.

I'll follow this topic. Because I got the same issue.

Waiting for some hotfix

Plus one for this issue. Trying to load into the Tower of the Shield map to do "Shadow of the Defiler", from inside the tower itself. Hangs on load screen and gives "Can't Load" error and forces me to quit to desktop. Steam install, No mods, verified install (no files missing), turned off shadows and volumetric lighting, went back to an earlier save and re-did the whole Monastery quest chain, plus a full reinstall, and updated drivers. No dice. Waiting for fix.

Playing on GOG. Very good experience until the latest patch. I am also stuck on whether venturing to the fortress or after using a gate to go to the location and go outside of the fortress.....same error occurs (screenshot). Hoping for a hotfix as I have tried everything from uninstall/re-install, verify files, adding video frameworks, etc...Glad to see I am not the only one, however..... it's also sad because I was really enjoying my 45hrs+ of Solasta and this really slows down the good vibes feel. Hope devs fix it soon

Same issue here. Ended the fight against Ryazan in the tower (not my fault that he has to run into my spirit guardians to try and hurt me) and took a long rest. When trying to load the zone outside of the tower I run into the same issue: "Error: Loading failed" and suggest I verify my game files, which Idid and it says no issues.

I am on patch 1.3.53 and playing Iron Man (for the achievement) and would be kind of sad to loose my save to a bug...
