Boarded up windows

Boarded up windows highlight upon pressing left-alt, but I haven't been able to find a way to interact with them. Usually just putting the mouse pointer on left-alt-ed places results in a popup saying "left click to xxx". Are boarded up windows bugged?

is it possible that with levitate (or other flight spells) they are interactable?

You can shoot the boarded up windows with a fire bolt and let sunlight in. During the vampire fight, this can cause her and her minions to take constant sunlight damage.

I can confirm Omega's response, although it requires two spells on some boarded-up windows. Thank goodness for cantrips!

Well that's just odd, because I can't get them to be targets whenever I tried to interact with them. Unless they only become interactable once the vampire fight starts, which is bizarre..

Trying it now. Nope, still can't target them with anything.

Hovewer, if you do it outside of the fight, there is no visible light. So when I tried it, I thought it's just for a test and there is no actual effect.

Due to technical implementation they act like enemies, in a sense that your attack can miss them or they can roll a successful save.

I can't get them to be targets whenever I tried to interact with them.

First, you have to have a direct line of sight with them to cast a spell on them. Second, at some point I couldn't interact with them, so I assume there is a bug which prevents you from using them after certain events.

I experienced a similar issue with some of the torch holders earlier. Show up with Alt but could not be targeted with firebolt. Those however worked if I walked up to them with a candle. These windows just won't let me do anything to them before, during or after the combat.

You can also attack them with a ranged weapon. It works for me outside of combat, but sometimes it takes 2 tries. Maybe there's a hidden attack roll happening?

I was able to break those with my paladin's sword outside of combat by walking up to them, selecting attack and then selecting the windows. (I probably should have used my cleric, since the game was giving me the "Smite" prompt on every window.) Though that was pre patch 0.3.3.
