Black screen and crashing going into inventory

Probably read this enough by now, but hammering the point can't hurt. Constant black screens after shops, cutscenes, 

Crashing after entering inventory, identifying items, short rests. 

Legacy Council shows occasional blacks reen but you can see dim candles lights in the back, almost like dark vision
