right now it has 10-12 hours of game time. From what I have read, the final version will be around 40 hours or so. I believe, and it is my belief not anything definitive I have read/heard, that this will essentially be the operational shell and then modules may be released as DLC. I believe that, from an entry on the initial menu where the player is asked to select their campaign. Right now, there is just the one so no selection is needed, but in the future....

Might also be relevant for you, that you will finish the EA at level 5 (I think I read somewhere that the level cap for the EA was 6 but never got there).

The game is quite playable right now and very enjoyable in my opinion. As sarge33rd said it's about 10-12 hours of content, I took around that time myself to complete it.

There are a few minor bugs here and there but nothing remotely game breaking.

Agree with coredumped - current content is not big but looks interesting and promising. I hope it will doing well.

Getting to level-5 in the EA is pretty easy, and gives you the first "breakpoint" in most characters' paths. Second attacks, third level spells, etc.

True, but level 6 has some interesting features. Want to try one channel spell granting to Sun Cleric.

My guess is the EA has about 20% of what the final product will have content wise. It is a solid core though and an enjoyable 10ish hours of playtime. Looking forward to more. As sarge33rd noted the main menu seems to be set up as a container for other modules to be loaded. If the game does well I would expect there to be DLC add-ons for additional campaigns. Would also be cool if others could make/publish modules for the game eventually.
