If you cast Barkskin, your AC is set to 16 unless AC is higher. That means Barbarian abilities Con and Dexterity do not add. You can't use Barkskin to set your AC to higher than 16. Currently it is easy for 1st level barbarian to get mid 20 AC at first level. that just is not correct.
In 5e, Barkskin sets your AC to 16, period, unless you have better without Barkskin.

It is working as intended from what you say here, though maybe your post is not clear to me.
Sorry, I am not sure I see your point. Unless you mean or imply that Barkskin is currently stacking with Barbarian bonuses in Solasta. I have not tested it myself, so I have to read between the lines of your post.

Tested Barkskin on a Barbarian (but the error probably applies to all characters with Dex bonuses).
As you can see below, Dexterity is added, though it should not.

Sorry I was not clear. Barbarian CON and DEX are adding into BARKSKIN.. which is wrong.
On a similar NOTE, MAGE ARMOR is stacking with Barbarian CON benefiting AC which is wrong. (according to Rules as Written and Sage Advice)

My screenshot shows a Barbarian/Path of Stone with Barkskin : only Dex is added, which is nonetheless wrong.
( using beta public patch though )

You can easily reach 30 AC with Path of Stone Barb with barkskin.
