Any plans for advertising from Wizards?

2 years ago (edited)

As my subject asks, since this game is connected to D&D, I am saddened to not find any advertising for it on the Wizards of the Coast website. I actually only found the game myself by accident through a random search, and am so thankful I did. I understand if you have no control over this, but if you do, are there any plans to get the word out on their official site?

I understand that perhaps something like that won't happen while the game is in early access, but hopefully at some point I would love to see it appear.

I want this game to thrive, with more content added (and wishfully thinking an access to be able to build and play as a DM), and part of that even being possible is to have as many people as possible exposed to its existence that in turn buy into it.

I was pleased to see places like the very popular Critical Role give a gameplay of it. Hoping for much success on this dream come true game.

Probably not since they're making money from Baldur's Gate III.  This game is better on a couple fronts.

I'm guessing that since they are using the SRD and not a paid license, WOTC isn't exactly eager to take away interest from games that use fully licensed D&D rules.

Well, here is the deal then.  I like this game and I've already told a few friends about it.  If everyone that gets this game, were to tell 5 people each, that would help spread the word.  A full hype campaign isn't always the best thing.  Back in the day, music companies would push the hell out of albums and it was annoying when the album didn't live up to the hype.  This game would because it's really fun.  I'll have to look on this site for a shareable small ad for Facebook.  A post would show up on our feeds.  Most people have at least 500 friends so it would not be a problem to help these fine folks out by spreading the word through the gaming community.  Hell, I'd work a booth at a gaming convention as soon as they quit locking us down over the flu.
