Another example of how AID is completely broken in this game

So I have AID on my characters and I take a short rest.  I roll dice to get back to max hit points.

The screen closes and I'm NOT at max hit points because AID does not work with short rests in this game. So instead all my characters are a few hit points shy of being at max, even though on the previous screen they were at max.
