Allow Us To Change Travel Destination

So I was heading to the fort when I got jumped on my first night.

I won, but now 2 of my characters are at Light encumbrance. I was 1 day from the city, but I had to continue 2 more days to the fort, since I could not turn around mid-travel.

Please let us turn around mid-travel. I would have liked to offload the gear I took from those bandits.

I too think world travel needs a bit touched up. My suggestion is much like yours. allow us to have more control. If I want to go back before let me.

I agree, was going to post something about being able to change the travel speed after you start traveling. Like if you're running out of food or low on health you may want to either slow down to be careful or speed up to get there faster, but currently its just whatever you set at the start.

For travel i second being able to change settings while i travel.

I set travel option to interrupt after a long rest as i wanted to change my prepared spells. Now after travelling for some time

i had to confirm the long rest option each time. Being able to toggle it back off would be nice.

Also, allow us to cast some spells from the travel screen. I use goodberry for food but have to wait till I have an encounter to recast it. Where a party should auto-cast it as they need it.

I would like to add a suggestion to allow Spacebar to interrupt (and resume) on the travel screen, as it goes by quite quickly sometimes and I can't read the small immersion text. One tiny button isn't enough, and you already have Space to pause and unpause otherwise, so it shouldn't be too hard an inclusion and it would help immensely.

Agree with all of this. Would also like an ability to back out of a dungeon to a "safe distance" and rest. I leveled up in the first fight right outside the hidden tower and would have liked to be able to rest and level up before taking on the rest of the dungeon.

Please let us change the destination <3

In my first play session, I set off on a long journey with insufficient food. Noticed this on the first travel segment. Would have been nice to be able to turn around and go back to buy more food.

Or perhaps add random 'merchant, adventurer' type encounters to allow trade, especially for the longer trips.

EDIT: You can, but I think the tutorial might need to be a little clearer about how.

You also can't craft when traveling, you need to start from a map, even though the tutorial says you can craft while traveling.

You can craft while traveling. You need to interrupt travel and then click on your character on the map to enter their inventory interface.

I agree with all the proposals to enhance world map travel.

- Change destination. Why wouldn't you be able to change your mind

- Change travel settings: Mainly to disable or enable pause on long rest. But I see no harm in allowing changes to all the settings including speed while already on a journey.

- Cast spells. Like Goodberry or Create Food. This could be implemented simply by dropping the party into an empty encounter map. That would also allow the party to drop items and anything else that might become possible later.

Ah, okay, but perhaps a line saying that needs to be added to the tutorials page, because I looked in there under Crafting and it said you can craft while traveling, but it didn't seem to say how. Maybe I missed it, but I did pause travel to look up the tutorial and didn't find the information I was looking for.

when you are on the world map there is an interrupt button above the menu/journal buttons give it a click then click on one of your characters portraits to bring up the inventory screen. click on crafting then set up your crafting chore then exit and press the resume button. that's how it's done.

More player control over traveling, where to go, when to stop, all of that, is definitely needed.
