I just observed Lightning Bolt go through a wall in the latest release build also.
Oh you are through a door around a corner in a different building? No worries. That shaman has map hacks and can line up a 3 person shot straight through anything.
I agree the lightning bolts through solid objects is extremely frustrating. Having evil priests and orc shamans knock my entire party down to half hps or worse before I even have a chance to be able to target them (or even counterspell, since I can't see them) makes fights involving them way more difficult than they should be.
Yeah. Evil priests are way more dangerous than they deserve to be thanks to this.
Add "Young Green Dragon breath" to the list of effects that inexplicably go through walls. Had one purposefully fly to the other side of a wall so it could breath through it and hit my whole party. (Also, the breath did Acid damage instead of Poison and required a Dex save instead of Con, which my Rogue appreciated, but still. :) )
