Able to use elevated Counterspell reaction without spell slots

Hi!

Do you mean that you cannot see how many spell slots you have to cast Counterspell, or that you know you have no spell slot of a particular level and can still use said spell slot to cast Counterspell?

Version 1.2.15

I've had a couple fights were I have been able to use counterspell using a 4th or 5th level slot on my High elf wizard without actually having the slot available. This most recently happened to me in the Arena fight in the Lava Forest zone.

I believe the confusion comes from the fact you can counter a level 4+ spell using a Counterspell slot level 3.  I think here that you used a level 3 slot, but succeeded the roll to counter higher level spells. 

Does that sound right ?
