2nd time playthrough - Suddenly characters cuss

I'm doing a second playthrough and the thing that I find most shocking the second time through the characters are all cussing at each other during combat.

I'm like - WAIT ! WHAT?

I think it is the character backgrounds/alignment-traits that drive that, but would be nice to confirm.

It specifically mentions this on the character creation screen where you pick traits - it changes the dialog, but not the dialog trees. So it's for flavor.

You should listen to some of the comments you get when going through the areas you have to crawl... some of them are a bit suggestive.
